New Contract Highlights - 2016
Academic Year 16/17:
the wage increases will be retroactive to July 1, 2016.
For TAs/GAs - 3% General Salary Increase for TA/GA + 3% range adjustment to min/max scale
For ISAs making $12/Hour - $0.50/hour range increase (5% increase)
For ISAs making more than $12/Hour - $0.25/hour Salary increase across the board
Academic Year 17/18:
2% GSI for TA/GA + 3% range adjustment to min/max scale (5% of people at the minimum salary range)
For ISAs making $12/Hour – $0.50/hour range increase (5% increase)
For ISAs making more than $12/Hour – $0.25/hour Salary increase across the board
Improved workload protections to ensure that members are paid for every hour of work that they do.
Created a new title for Substitute Teaching Associates to have clear compensation for those that cover when someone is absent.
The establishment of a joint diversity-committee between the CSU and Union to address issues of equitable space and working conditions for ASEs. In particular this committee is tasked with working together to ensure Gender Neutral Bathroom and Lactation facility access.
For all pedagogy and training classes that are required as a condition of employment will count as working hours and will be compensated for, and the Fees will be waived.
