As the Fall term wraps up, it is time to begin planning for 2022 and how Student Workers can continue to build power.
In January, new Student Worker colleagues will be hired across all 23 CSU campuses. Many departments and tutoring centers will be hosting an orientation for new employees. These orientations also include a timeslot for Student Workers to introduce new colleagues to their union-guaranteed rights and benefits. We have about 150 orientations coming up!
Fortunately, you can help by attending the orientations at your campus and help introduce new TAs, GAs, and ISAs to their workplace rights. This is enormously important for educating new colleagues about the rights, benefits, and protections we all enjoy – especially because we have a new contract with salary increases around the corner!
Let’s show our incoming Student Workers by showing up for them from day one!
Please sign up here for one of the upcoming orientation training sessions, on Saturday, January 8th at 11am, or Thursday January 13th at 6pm. If you can't make it to either of these trainings but are interested in helping, fill out this form too!
