Our initiation fee and dues are set by Article 16 of the UAW International Constitution. New members pay a one-time initiation fee of $10. Every member contributes a fixed amount of dues every month, pre-tax out of their paycheck. Monthly dues are $8.55 for ISAs, $14.77 for GAs, and $17.30 for TAs. If you hold multiple positions, you only pay dues for the highest position. Members pay dues only during the time that they are employed as an academic student worker.

This fund goes toward operating costs of the union.

This fund goes toward audits, bookkeeping, legal compliance, and other financials.
UAW INTERNATIONAL STRIKE & DEFENSE FUND
This fund ensures our ability to go on strike if the CBA expires before we come to a tentative agreement with the CSU.
UAW INTERNATIONAL GENERAL FUND
This fund provides us with a UAW International representative who guides and supports us in grievances, bargaining, and other operations.
